Both works tell a story about remembering/loving someone who's no longer in your life. They're stories about love that last forever, beyond time or life. And both are excellent.
Both are focused around a lost love that the main character cannot really ever get over due to certain circumstances and must reunite with them and both share a very somber and downbeat low key tone that would appeal to fans of the stories Ai Yazawa has written.
