Both of these stories follow the misadventures of a magic-less protagonist as they use shear strength alone to punch their way through the magical worlds they inhabit which look down on them for their lack of magic. Both have a balls-to-the-wall sense of comedy and contain a gaggle of unique and memorable side characters that accompany the lovable muscleheaded MC. Neither story has a very large focus on plot but hints of it can be found. It should be noted that "Mashle" features a noticeably greater amount of plot compared to "Doryoku Shisugita Sekai Saikyou no Butouka wa, Mahou Sekai wo Yoyuu de Ikinuku".
