Both manga have a sort of a similar premise, in that a daughter is retracing her deceased father's steps by visiting izakaya and diners. In Hana to Sakazuki, she is trying to find a particular diner that she enjoyed eating with her father in when she was small. In Tsukiyo no Gourmet, she is using the notes her father took to order the same meals as he did, to feel closer to him.
