While Skip to Loafer isn't about music like Girl meets Rock is, I think the way the both manga handle the characters' insecurities and drive, interpersonal relationships, opinions on romance(Though girl meets rock isn't explicitly about it), a largely female main cast and navigating highschool life all the while maintaining a compassionate view on each of the characters is something both audiences can enjoy
