First of all the time setting is similar; the characters are transitioning from childhood to young adulthood and experiencing the emotions that come with it. The two mangas are funny and have similar cute/funny interactions between the friends. Miae and Mitsumi are both bubbly, funny and cutely earnest characters while Shima and Cheol both have struggles with their past and self image and find comfort in the girls. The two stories are also similar in that they don't solely focus on just romance, but also friendships and struggles of adolescence. Similar premise, both female leads have strong goals and aspirations and both male leads have conflicting emotions and thoughts towards the female lead. I like how both don't rush into the "I like them" phase but instead they take the time to refurnish each others relationship and introduce interesting characters.
