When it comes to romance, both series has similar themes. The main character (opposite genders though) are highly popular among their classmates because of their looks. However, they get involved in a relationship with a plain person. Both series explores that relationship to various degrees that really brings out their persona. There is a good amount of drama that is present as well. While Hibi Chouchou has mostly comedy, Suki tte Li na yo does deal with some mature themes.
Both manga has the shy female character and dating under certain circumstance ,
and also both of the main character very popular but choose to date an average girl/guy.
A must read manga that going to made every shoujo girl heart bloom!!
