Beauty and the Beast of Paradise Lost and Golden Japanesque are two romance manga created by women with much experience in the shoujo manga industry. As such, there are female protagonists, great character development, and pretty art, but both series have the significantly apparent quality of a girl with unusual hair color too ashamed by it and society to realize their true beauty. The only one who does recognize and appreciate this beauty without judgement is their male love interest with a bit of a quirky, teasing side that is also entertaining to see.
