Ayashimon
|
Inhumanly-strong human boy sucked into the world of monsters, and made to take down goon after goon for a pretty lady he serves. Ayashimon didn't have enough time to fully develop its characters, but from its short 25-chapter run, it showed promising potential that could have very well bloomed into a wonderful story with powerful character dynamics and world building similar to what Chainsaw Man accomplished.
Both are Shonens that seem to be more directed toward older teens/young adults, protags are similar, and the mangaka of Ayashimon is also a former assistant of Chainsaw Man's. Both bring similar vibes with great humor and have the similar concept of dark supernatural beings/monsters as well.
Mangaka was an assistant to Fujimoto-san during Fire Punch, (one of Fujimoto-sans's previous works before Chainsaw Man) and inspiration is clearly drawn from both works.
- Both have that feeling of not knowing what is going to happen next, and Yuuji Kaku worked under Fujimoto.
- Main Characters also give off similar energy, without Mauro being a rip off of Denji.
- It's a great way to hold over while waiting for CSM Part II
- It is very inspired by Fugimoto's work, CSM and Fire Punch.
