Even though Inubaka mainly focuses on dogs, Bow Wow Wata parallels by telling a story about a boy named Tasuke, who is able to speak to animals thanks to his father, who is a Shinto God that runs a vet; and Wata is a dog companion that works alongside Tasuke to tackle on real veterinary issues throughout the series.
