Hokuou Kizoku to Moukinzuma no Yukiguni Karigurashi

Two stories of people getting married and living out their lifestyles with nature. Relaxing atmosphere. Otoyomegatari takes place in an ancient desert middle-eastern setting, whereas Hokuou Kizoku seems to be an icy area somewhere in northern Europe during the 1700s ish.
Both stories are slice of life, wholesome tales about family life. They give off the same warm feeling.
Otoyome-gatari has more focus on history and various cultures shown via various brides in Central Asia.
Hokuou Kizoku focuses only on one couple living in the cold northern countryside. It is really cute and focuses a lot on day to day life. Mainly cooking, hunting. It has a pioneer like feel to it.
Overall I loved both the stories. Check them out!
