Both "main" female love interest are transported / reverse-isekai'd in modern day Japan. Both titles have fantasy/magic , slice of life and bit of action themes going on.
A slow-moving slice of romance, Isekai, and a tad bit of action. What more would you want in a series? Tasty food of course! Luckily, all these things and more are heavily featured in both series.

Both series introduce other world inhabitants to Japan, and then explore how they would react to modern appliances and Earth culture. Magic and fantasy elements are present in both series, where both of the fantasy worlds are medieval or "middle-aged" in our eyes. "Nihon e Youkoso Elf-san" has better art and a more engaging story, I believe, but there is certainly more chapters in "Orenchi ni Kita Onna Kishi to Inakagurashi suru Koto ni Natta Ken." Both protagonists are also similar, being wimpy/oblivious Japanese men, but later "grow" as the chapters progress. "Nihon e Youkoso Elf-san" also has more worldbuilding and they try to explore
