Both are sports manga that have some kind of psychological aspect to it and are focused on new players on a team. While KnB has many characters which are nearly inhumanly talented, there is still a whole lot of thinking going on and you can actually see what's being done instead of it just being this-guy-did-something-super-amazing-but-hell-if-i-know why.
One Outs is a bit more about a guy who IS talented, but not because he can do amazing physical feats- more like mental ones, although it's not like he can't do both.
