If someone told me that Majo Taisen was a spinoff of Record of Ragnarok, I would definately believe them. The series basically goes out of its way to demonstrate how much RoR inspires it. Both are even serialized in the same magazine.
Tournament of historical figues fighting to the death and strong backstories that tie into the philosophical theme of a fight. Shuumatsu no walkure and Majo Taisen are really similar, Shuumatsu no walkure is about god against human, Ragnarok. IN Majo Taisen there are no god, but magic still exist like in shuumatsu no walkure, Majo Taisen is about 32 humans that died, they are what we call witch in this manga. The 32 with will then fight against each other and the winner will be given a second chance. The difference between shuumatsu no walkure and majo taisen is that

If you like Shuumatsu no Valkyrie then you would love to read this manga called Majo Taisen. It's about a war of the 32 greedy witches, put them in an arena and fought bloodlusted until death. The participants of the arena are based by some women figures in history like Jeanne D'Arc, Elizabeth Bathory, Marie Antoinette, Mona Lisa, etc. Both SNV and Majo Taisen was published in a Comic Zenon.
Also the author of this manga is the same as the author of Kakegurui
They are literally the same thing. Just change humans vs gods for witches vs witches.
