Khang Zhipa is like Maomao because he is a young, trained doctor and he's also obsessed with herbs.
Both take place in China (Tibet is part of China during 1949 when Communism took over the country except for Taiwan but Tenju no Kuni (Blissful Land) took place in Tibet during the 19th century which means Qing Dynasty).
The characters and the clothes are well-designed.
Both are similar to Otoyomegatari.
