Both manga are gentle romcoms about a lovey-dovey couple that likes to drink together at the end of the work day. Tonari wa is a sequel to an earlier love story about cooking and often includes otsumami (drinking snack) recipes along with the drinks.
Both stories are focused around the life of a working couple one story focus on alcohol while the other focuses on food. Also both stories leave the reader with a fluffy feeling.
