Both mangas are about boss-subordinate relationships. In Sekaiichi Hatsukoi, the uke also gets drunk one night and sleeps with his boss (although the circumstances leading up to this are not quite the same). The uke has a hard time figuring his boss out, he doesn't understand why his boss yells at him so much and treats him so harshly in the workplace yet he sleeps with him. He also has inner-conflict surrounding his feelings for his boss and coming to terms with those feelings. All of these aspects can be seen in both Joushi Tono Hitoban and Sekaiichi Hatsukoi.
