Spy x Family is what you get when you take a wholesome slice-of-life comedy manga like Yotsuba& and turn it into a cold war spy action thriller. On paper, it should not work. But holy hell it does. And the most striking common feature of both series? THEY'RE HILARIOUS.
Comedy manga about taking care of a rather special and very cute girl as a parent. While Yotsubato is more slice of life, Spy x Family has some action elements.
Both have a daughter that get up to all sort of shenanigans
both show the struggles and joy of raising a girl
both have comedy that hit every chapter
Both are very wholesome manga. The concept of this story really hooked me in, and the adorable interactions of the characters. It also has comedic points in it. Definitely worth a read on those who like slice of life, or maybe even romance.
Both revolve around pesky children who wreak havoc on those around them. If you want to focus on fellowship and family life, both are excellent mediums to read.
In my opinion, Anya is the best part of Spy x Family - largely because she reminds me of Yotsuba! While Yotsuba is a lot more energetic than Anya, both of them are delightful little weirdos whose antics always put a smile on my face.
Both mangas are about a cute child. The parents have problems raising the child and the story is told in a beautiful and funny way.
