Battle of wits. Between a child and an adult, both Bastard and TPN follow a story in where the child has to take a stand for themselves, against an enemy whose superficial layers are perceived as a great person. TPN does with Emma, Ray, and Norman against the Grace Field House real motives. Bastard does this with Seon Jin against his seemingly "perfect" father. Both are good series with suspense around every corner to keep you in.

An oppressive theme throughout both series where the protagonists have to outwit and survive from adults.

They're both filled with horror and suspense at the start, with the main villains of both honestly being terrifying. However, whereas The Promised Neverland sort of overstays its welcome, Bastard is relatively short and can easily be knocked out in a day. One main difference is that the main character of Bastard is much more like Ray, so it might also be nice to read it just to see what he would have looked like if he wasn't criminally underused.
