Both have a set of characters with friends whom they have known since childhood with the very ambitious goal of being the protectors of peace!
Each characters share some of their dramatic/traumatic past. And both deal with the hard journey of growing up through the age adolescence.
Both LB and AnoHana focus heavily on friendships from childhood. If LB follows the exact story of its visual novel counterpart, both will also be similar in the intensity of the drama that occurs.
A group of friends who have grown up together are now in high school (though not torn apart in Little Busters)
Magical realism/supernatural moments
Lighthearted slice-of-life and comedy moments balanced with drama. Little Busters Refrain (the second half of Little Busters) is absolutely heart-wrenching just like AnoHana. I won't say why because spoilers XD

Both anime focus on the theme of "friendship" and they both have some very sad moments though, with Little Busters, the feels don't really start until "Refrain".
Both are about a group of friends and their regrets and dark pasts. Little Busters! has multiple arcs focusing on each heroine, and AnoHana just has a single plot/arc. Both are emotional anime.
These anime are based around friend groups, both have good character designs too. These anime are dramatic or search to give the same feeling to the viewer. The storys are very good, the story of little busters is formed around "arcs" for each character, the main character of the both anime have the same mentality and the both are slice of life anime.
While not hyper similar in style or genre, both Anohana and Little Busters! has powerful messages of love, life and friendship.
Both deal with the importance of living through all aspects of life, becoming better as a person.
Both will move you, Anohana more so than LB!.
