It's the same about international relationships between Europe and Japan, the characters talk about they culture and the most important differences. I think the relationship between some characters and they looks are very similar: In Kiniro Mosaic Alice is from England but she loves Japan and she tries to be one of them or something like that, and her bestie is Shinobu loves Europe. In Ikoku meiro no croisee Yune meets alice, a "Japonissima" victim. Is just a coincidence too but they have the same name too xD

The story is very similar to each other, both are about culture and culture shocks. They both are easy and fun to watch, with cute characters. The main difference is where the story takes place, Ikoku Meiro ni Croisée takes place in 19th century France

If not only because it has extremely similar protagonists, it does   read more

Japanese Girl meets Western Girl under different circumstances within both plots that share the use Nao Touyama in casting. There is a fascination of a foreign culture in both but Kiniro has a Japanese girl really obsessed with British culture whereas Ikoku has a French girl really obsessed with Japanese culture. Kiniro is mainly set in modern day Tokyo whereas Ikoku is set in the 2nd half of 19th century Paris. Both use moe to accentuate their slice of life's however, despite Kiniro being purely moe, not all of Ikoku uses moe but there is a fair amount of it. The vibe in Ikoku is very cosy and quaint   read more
