Both Protagonists suffers after losing their closest family. In Kimestsu no Yaiba Kamado Tanjirou loses his whole family except his sister and in Blue Exorcist aka ( Ao no Exorcist ) Rin loses his father. After both going through a trauma, they both kill demons. The concept of the story of its beginnings are the same, but however later on the story differ from it other.
Rin and Kamado both wield swords, but Rin's sword releases fire while Kamado's releases water.
Both have similar demons and people who fight demons as a way to save mankind.

Both are protagonists who lost their family by the power of a king of monsters, and throughout history they awaken the strength that resides in them to defeat evil
Revenge. As for the two animes, Demon Slayer and Blue Exorcist have a lot in common. For starters, their families passed away in a tragic event where it will never be forgotten by the Main Character and will always be a motivation for them to be better so they avoid these situations and protect their loved ones.
Both shows are really well made in terms of Art Style, Plot, and storyline which fills up the show with emotions. The Main Characters seek revenge for their families and wish for this tragedy to never happen again to anyone in this world. Therefore, they plan to kill
