In Mai-HiME, the Hime fight eachother untill there is one left. Much like the sekirei. They also both have some type of orginization behind it, to an extent. The girls both have some type of magical powers that they use to fight each other (Mai-HiME uses summons along with other powers). Both also have some fanservice, although sekirei has a lot more of it than Mai-Hime.

Both series are about masters with creatures (in this case sekirei) who fight for them. Both also involve cute girls and a battle between all the masters to win, where apparently only one may survive. Mai HiME is a bit "darker" in its story though, and a bit less ecchi.

Main cast is mainly female, the characters from both series have a loved one that they would do anything for. Also, both are being manipulated from behind the scenes. Instead of a materialized guardian, Sekerei's girls have powers themselves. Sekirei has a lot more fanservice though so unless thats a problem, check it out

-Both animes are about receiving or meeting a partner (coincidence or not) to fight in a survival game, and aim to defeat the other partnerships to win the game.
