Wonder Egg Priority

The two revolve around a group of girls who fight against some kind of creatures: witches in Madoka Magica and Wonder Killers in Wonder Egg Priority. Both shows hide a dark truth behind all their glitter and seemingly bright nature.
Both seem bright, cheerful and happy at first but get darker and more complex as the story progresses. The MCs obtain a mysterious, important item, get transported in a alternate/dream-like universe and have to fight creepy, fantasy creatures. They have the same vibrant colors also a similar animation style with fast-paced scenes.

Weird magical girls in weird adventures to save something
Both are Psychological animes
Both series offer a new and dark take on "magical girls" genre.
While Madoka Magica does a better job at creating dungeons and portraying bosses, WEP follows a similar pattern.
-Both are about a group of middle school girls that travel to a parallel world to fight massive demon like creatures
-Both have twist villains and unexpected answers to the mystery of the system allowing them to fight these creatures
-Both deal with hefty topics and their effects on the human psyche

Both appear really bright and cheerful from the outside, but in reality take a darker twist the more you delve into it. The fact that both contain children/very young teens fighting these massive monsters really sprung into my head whilst watching Wonder Egg. In both anime, the main kids are fighting the monsters for a cause, because they're motivated by something they feel strongly about.
I'm getting very strong Madoka vibes from Wonder Egg Priority so far. Both are relatively darker psychological magical girl/magical girl-esque shows with a relatively small female-dominated cast (5 main girls in Madoka, 4 so far in Wonder Egg Priority) who get granted powers by mysterious entities. They have similar aesthetics, with both shows featuring surreal worlds and creatures (witches' labyrinths/dream world). Also both are 12-episode-long anime originals.
Do you like the "cute girls do cute things" genre? What about magical girls?
well these are both great shows with absolutely 0(+/- a few) sad moments. Madoka magica is a wonderful classic which created the edgy magical girl genre and is known as a classic for a reason. Turning the wholesome magical girl genre on its head by episode 3(nom nom). Wonder egg priority is much newer and therefore has the benefit of spectacular visuals but this visual substance does not take away from the plot or characters, the bright colours hide the dark undertones of the show.
Both are great shows that

Both are cute shows on the surface that are deeply psychological and deal with complicated problems involving young girls.
The nature of the two shows are shockingly similar, yet the actual shows themselves are more than different enough that no one in their right mind could accuse the writers of Wonder Egg Priority with "stealing from Madoka Magica".
To put it really short, both WEP's and MM's first few episodes are giving the viewer only a very superficial and somewhat lighthearted, naive idea of what the anime is going to be about but as the story progresses they dive into deeper and heavier topics, replacing this superficial and lighthearted nature with a much darker general tone. From this much it's easy to guess, both shows

Both shows use contemporary dark fantasy, supernatural powers and horror to look into a number of delicate themes from the perspective of young teenage girls. Madoka Magica employs the format and tropes of a classical ass-kicking magical girl show, whereas WEP chooses the form of a contemporary dark fantasy. Nevertheless, WEP shares a number of tropes with the magical girl genre, e.g. familiars and spectacular daikaijuu fights in a parallel fantasy world. On top of that, a focus on social and dark problems of middle school girls, traumatic backstories and the feeling of being abused by a high level conspiracy are shared between the

The only intention they have is good things. In exchange, the girls must come together to fight the evil creatures for a cost. With such, however, comes to an unsettling, dark, twisted world that does more to one than what the peripheral surface says
PMMM and WEP are both unsettling stories that are based on young females and what they will do for those they love. More than anything, it is based on their characters on the relationships and history they have built for themselves, making for some pretty deep characters to view.
Exact similarities follow as both anime have some kind of supplier and informer

The MC for Wonder Egg Priority seems pretty similar to Madoka Kaname in her personality and kindness towards other people. The Wonder Egg system is also extremely similar to the process of becoming a magical girl in Madoka, since they both seemed innocent enough to lure their main characters in, but then were revealed to not be exactly what they seemed.

It's not your stereotypical anime about cute girls. Behind these magical stuff and fantasy, there's a twisted tale to tell. As the story progresses, it also gets more complex and bonkers. Both of the story tackles about taking a leap to dark, just to accomplish your goals, desires and wishes.
The visuals are almost the same and both these shows seem innocent at first but have a dark meaning behind them
Unfortunate stories about young girls who just want to experience their lives at its fullest through achieving their dreams yet they are instead confronted by endless miserable psychological challenges; condemning them into doing such pitiful acts just for the sake of one's desires.

both universes seem cheerful but are deep and mysterious
the stories are different but very unique
i have the feeling that we can't really understand the whole stories of these shows, but they are truly enjoyable and interesting
The central plot of both shows focuses on the problems dealt with by middle school girls. They also share the same dark themes masked by the innocence the girls have at the start of the story. Both are psychological dramas that delve deeply as the show progresses. They also both exhibit a magical girl-like power-up used to defeat the "villains" they have to face in order to make their wishes a reality. Both have fantastic visuals on display and unique art styles for the supernatural elements present in the show.
Similar themes of a girl stopping at nothing to save someone else, a mysterious character who promises to help the main character but whose intentions are unclear, some of the enemies are similar.
Both anime follows female lead , dark magic girl anime with similar setting although WEP is more mature in it storytelling and have much more darker theme and the animation is also top tier unlike Madoka magica's C grade animation
Both of these shows feature a cast of magical girls but with a dark twist. Both animes focus on psychological elements of horror. The show, Wonder Egg Priority, mostly acts as a metaphor for depression as the anime displays this through mostly sad and horrific themes. Madoka Magica shares many of the same themes but portrays the corruption of innocence. Overall, both animes are good dark magical girl shows that depart from other series with the same aesthetic.

though puella magi madoka magica may look more 'magical girl' like due to the outfits, both shows are trippy & edgy shows that touch on series topics. both extraordinary shows too.
Similar in tone and aesthetic, magical girl friend group dynamic with a TV original story that should be easy to pick up on. Also, just really beautiful visuals.
Both come off as cutesy animes but end up being very dark.

Both magical girl animes that seem cute at first, but in reality are dark >:)
I love both of these animes a lot and I recommend them both !
Wonder Egg Priority is more forward in it's darkness than Madoka is - and I have to admit it certainly is not as revolutionary as Madoka is... If you were once a young girl with all your flaws and you really relate to the girls in PMMM specifically because they ARE living in that world of girlhood, Wonder Egg just might resonate with you pretty deeply. Just like Madoka, it hits you with something special in the plot - and not to spoil anything but you'll find that the girlhood displayed in Wonder Egg is a lot more realistically joyful, despite all the bad stuff

Both depict highschool girls fighting off evil in alternate worlds, and contain gore. Wonder egg priority also shows what it's like to grief over loss of family and friends, and contains a sad story line and if you're similar to me you will cry like a baby just like I did. This anime covers suicide, self-ham, and sexual assault. If you aren't comfortable with these please don't watch it and I hope you find something else. <3
