On a superficial surface, Akame Ga Kill and Puella Magi Madoka Magica give a fairly genuine and peaceful atmosphere for their protagonists, though deep down the line, this once great fantasy gets flipped completely with a new dark world that was always lingering to being with.
MCs Tatsumi and Madoka, with Sayaka, understand that the ideas that were once given to them slowly go back to the fantasy that they always were. AGK being about fighting against a tyrannical empire, and PMMM being about magical girls dark truth slowly unravelling.

The're not very alike but If you enjoyed Akame ga kill (the start of course) then you could possibly also enjoy Madoka Magica because they are both equally as dark (in my opinion).
Also, Both Stories follow a group of people who help people. You may be thinking how do they help people in Akame ga kill... Well, they don't have bad intentions when they murder people who murder others. Like in Madoka Magica
