Althrough different in genres, both have story where a group of people with supernatural powers travels to Egypt and fights enemies with supernatural powers there. There's a battle in a desert and dog that allies with the protagonist. In both, people have powers that represent something (fighting spirit in JoJo's Bizarre Adventure and food in Sore Ike! Anpanman). While JoJo is a battle shounen, Anpanman is a show for kids.
