it took me a while to realize just why this surreal magical feeling was so appealing to me. but at episode 4, it struck me.
The good witch of the west features a medieval world with magic, alliances and rules much similar to maoyuu.
in both series, the characters are very appealing and the animation and landscapes are done beautiful justice.
and most important: the simple but true love between the 2 main characters. slowly trying to discover just how they are feeling and occasionally fighting any unwanted suiters. (I still have to see Yuusha go as far as dressing up as a girl for her sake, though.)
