Chaos;Child takes place on the Steins;Gate worldline in 2015 Shibuya. While the anime does actually suck, I'd recommend checking it out if you liked Steins;Gate.
Also, if you can, play the VN instead of watching the anime for Chaos;Child because the VN is actually really good.
