They kinda have the same feel. The sequences are really fast. Both deal with "wrong" topics (such as dictatorship, death, fighting), but in a funny and careless way. The animation is great and singular. Both have a very particular, colourful, and enjoyable art. Lots of gags during each scene. Both have fanservice and sexy gags. Both are quite messed up, though Kill La Kill seems to have a plot to begin with. Overall strange but somewhat epic. If you enjoyed P&S, you'll love Kill La Kill.

It is no surprise that due to Hiroyuki Imaishi, the director of KLK, had worked on P&T (and for Gainax in that matter) that both series have a similar style of animation and action sequences. They have ridiculous plot but magically can intrigue viewers and remain enjoyable. Recommend for people who are looking for battles, actions and characters shouting really nonsense stuffs (that in real life can be considered crazy) but somehow sound badass

If you liked Kill La Kill and haven't tried watching PSG or vice versa, I would highly recommend the other, both shows are original works, PSG is animated by Gainax and KLK is by Trigger, both studios have a very similar animation style, and both shows are very over the top, have constant action, and fluid/interesting animation.

Crazy animations with over the top movements and fighting. Strong female lead(s) who seem casual until they get into a fight. Same style of comedy and perverted jokes. Fast paced plot and scenes delivering action. Both are lots of fun and a joy to view.

Strong women leads and great animation along with a little lewdness and hilarity. Both title are loads of fun to watch, plus both have GAR characters who are somewhat into bondage. PSG more slapstick comedy and KLK with more plot.

Same director, both have female protagonists using weaponized clothing, prominent fanservice, over the top action scenes and animation. Also the protagonists are anarchistic in their intentions.

Though Kill la Kill has more plot to it than Panty and Stocking, they are both "lightning fast" paced. The bright, ever-changing visuals are entertaining. Plus both anime have sexy girls doing sexy transformation sequences.
Panty & Stocking with Garterbelt is by the same director as Kill la Kill, and as such features a varied visual style and unique action scenes that emphasize the characters moving in cool and unusual ways. It is far more focused on slapstick or otherwise crude comedy than Kill la Kill appears to be however, and has a very different art style in general.
Same company production, clothing that have powers are used in battles, fighting, goals, irony, similar animations types, female protagonists with their best buddy in crime, one guy who supports them in their own style, epic, and somewhat censored nudity included.

Both shows tend to not take themselves very seriously, and tend to parody things.
They also have a similar "villain of the week" approach to the storytelling.
Both shows have a dynamic & fluid animation style, as well, which seems like it's influenced by western cartoon animation. Kill la Kill's art seems to be more influenced by traditional cartoon art styles like Looney Tunes or Ren & Stimpy, while Panty & Stocking seems influenced by more modern stuff like Powerpuff Girls or Dexter's Lab. This leads to both shows looking different, but having that same dynamically animated feel.
That animation style helps both series' characters, and makes them

Bizarre over the top characters. Vibrant and almost surreal art styles.
- Kill la Kill is a mature Anime trying really hard to be cartoony.
- Panty & Stocking is a mature cartoon trying really hard to be .... Anime-y?
Both convey their respective stories in semi episodic fashion. P&S being more like western shorts, while KlK feels more like weekly serials of old.
Clearly both are parodying western and eastern animation stereotypes respectively, but doing so in a respectful and amusing fashion. (Just my opinion though.)

Both anime are cartoony, comedic, ridden with ecchi/fan service, starred by badass females, contains an over the top ludicrous plot and contains no logic whatsoever yet amazingly pulls itself together to be one of the most unique and entertaining anime you can watch. If you are looking for a good laugh then you should definitely give both shows a try.
-two magical girls
-one character has spiky hair and the other has straight hair
-one character is loud and hotheaded, while the other is more calm and cool
-crazy and silly art style
-similar action scenes, with weapons
-a whole lot of crazy situations!

Both are fast-paced and over-the-top anime, that have a similar artstyle, to make it look more cartoonish. They contain a immense amount of stylized fanservice, which is woven in as a part of the plot.

If you want lots of ecchi moments and full bath of insanity than this is what you get.
Not only do they both have an unique animation and artwork style, but they are both off the wall and over the top. They both feature strong female leads and the villains(who are also female) are fantastic. And they can both have sexual innuendos. Lastly, they depend on their clothes to use as weapons.

While Panty and Stocking is seen as more cartoony of the two, their quite unique as they can go over the top at times. This is highlighted between the action scenes and some of the more not so serious scenes. It can also be noted that their from the same studio.

Want clothes that transform into weapons? Want fanservice that actually fits into the series? Well, then check out both Panty & Stocking with Garterbelt and Kill la Kill then. Both anime are over the top and flashy, and the comedy is very similar between the two. They’re even directed by the same guy, Hiroyuki Imaishi! However, there are differences. Panty & Stocking with Garterbelt is a comedy series that parodies several prices of Western media, while Kill la Kill is an action anime that has more of a storyline. I’d definitely recommend one of these to people who liked the other, however.

PSG is made by Gainax and is one of the last Gainax original anime series before they unfortunately had financing issues and a lot of the Gainax staff moved on to Trigger who made original animes such as Kill la Kill which carries on the same fast-paced spirit as PSG and even has a clothing-based power system like PSG.

If you want an action anime filled with sex and violence , both are good choices. You will find :
- An incredible animation directed by Hiroyuki Imaishi
- Lots of ecchi elements
- A very great comic aspect
- Female main characters
- A frantic pace with fights every episode
- A completly messed-up environment filled with strangeness and excentricity
- Magical Girl elements ( like the transformations ) turned in a funny way

Bold colours, striking animation, over-the-top action, and questionable comedy can be found in both. Most of all, they both focus on female characters that fight evil entities by transforming their clothes into weapons which leads to some interesting situations to say the least.
Balls to the wall action that I think fans of Kill la Kill would like. Both are very fun and entertaining.

-I think both shows have such common:
-Fighting in a pretty flashy but comedic style
-Deals with the majority of dark subjects that concern death and tyranny
-Many FAN SERVICES like ecchi and other adult content
-Action and comedy focused
-Good animations and character cast
