Both start off as fairly lighthearted and innocent anime but quickly delve into more serious themes such as incest and pedophilia. Even though they are dealing with these mature topics, they never take things seriously and instead entertain with their quirky characters and comedic situations. In addition, both plots feature an unsuspecting male lead who suddenly has to take care of a girl desperately in need of his help.
