Ghost Hunt

In the world there are things we can't see but are of great importance. Ghosts, curses, dreams, superstitions and many other unexplained but commonly known phenomena.
At a general level people don't really believe in them, but sometimes they need to. So if, you are a part of those unbelievers who are in need to learn more about the other side of the world - the unseen and unknown side, you may be more than interested to do it while watching either Ghost Hunt, or xxxHolic. Both series provide much valuable and interesting information (personally, I leart alot just from watching!)

They are both scary when watched at night. I had goosebumps,especially that episodes of 100 tales of horror and the girl with blue dress, just like whenever i watch cases of ghost hunt where they have to deal with different supernatural events. The feel is so the same. Both are REALLY GREAT!
Both anime revolve around businesses that solve people's supernatural problems. While xxxHOLiC is more comical and lighthearted, both series have a creepy atmosphere and some unsettling scenes.
If your looking for a horror and episodic kind of series then there's no anime who do it better like these two.
Both revolve around solving supernatural cases, although xxxHolic is more about youkai rather than ghosts and solves the cases via supernatural methods, while Ghost Hunt revolves around spirits and solves cases via scientific equipment and exorcisms.

Both anime include hunting ghosts/spirits.
The aim is to help other people.
In Dubbed both anime have the same voice actors for most of the main characters. (Kazuya = Kimihiro) (Mai = Himawari) (Lin = Doumeki) (Ayako = Yuuko).
Both supernatural.
I personally like the art style better in Ghost Hunt and feel it's a more realistic anime. There's more character development in Ghost Hunt and the characters are more likable.
SIMILARITIES:
*They are both horror anime which deal heavily with sprits and spiritual powers.
*The main character (Mai/Watanuki) is a high school student with spiritual powers.
*They encounter a mysterious person with dark hair and pale skin (Naru/Yuuko) who runs a mysterious business that deals with the supernatural.
*They end up in the mysterious person's debt in some way, and are hired as their assistant to work off the debt.
*Some of the same voice actors (Mai and Himawari are voiced by Cherami Leigh, Naru and Watanuki are voiced by Todd Haberkorn, Ayako and Yuuko are voiced by Colleen Clinkenbeard and Lin and Doumeki are voiced by J. Micheal
