Rebellion and the over throwing of a oppressive regime is a key plot line in both Code Geass and Utawarerumono.
Both have very strong war storylines, and yet are both absolutely amazing. If you like one then you are sure to like the other.
Both are about a mysterious masked man leading a group of soldiers in revolution against an oppressive government, both have plenty of bloody action with hints of comedy throughout, and both have a supernatural theme. They both utilize a bit of semi-deep strategy where it's more intelligent that just ramming people against each other and seeing who lives, but isn't so detailed and precise that the plot can't move on.
