Being a love letter to classic 2D animated mecha, it's no surprise that Granbelm takes some inspirations from Zeta. While it lacks the military aspect, both have a fairly somber tone and feature cunning, manipulative villains whose true colors come to the forefront in the second half.
Oh and Kamille's seiyuu does the next episode previews for Granbelm too.
