For whatever reason, this didn't hit me until I watched the first episode of Tomodachi's second season but there's a SUPER OBVIOUS linking factor to be found between these two:
- Crazy bitches/galpals in a small school clubroom.
- One crazy bitch/galpal bullying the other in a "friendly" way.
- The male lead quickly becoming indifferent to the chaos surrounding himself; going with the flow due to being smart enough to know that it's pointless to either resist or intervene. (Instead, it's OBVIOUSLY better to commentate to the viewers with his internalized thoughts about what's going on.)
I suppose the whole love triangle thing is worth noting, as well...

Ask was said whole bunch of times already, the main girl in this series forms of club med school year, just like Haruhi did. Also, the purpose of both clubs was to enrich the club members’ social lives, in one way or another.

Both are about a club created to make friends. The Neighbor's Club is basically a heavily deconstructed SOS Brigade.
Both animes start out with the creation of a club made by a girl who is an out cast. Consequently, both animes have male leads that get dragged into the club and are forced to go to the clubs activities against their will. There is also a character in Boku wa that sounds like Haruhi.

I recommend you both these of these animes because both main characters have the same atitudes , also both of them are doing the narrations, and both of them are dealing on an eccentric girl.

The protagonist appears to be a delinquent, meets a girl, and forms a club. The girl bullies the hell out of another girl for having large breasts. More members join and the club ends up becoming like a harem. (Almost all the characters seem to like Kyon in the Haruhi Suzumiya series...)
However, Haruhi's characters have special powers that are used to keep Haruhi from destroying the world.

Both resolve around a boy, who after being forced into a newly formed club, has to deal with one or several crazy girls. Also, people always arrive early.

These two are so similar, it's ridiculous. A sarcastic high school student indirectly gives a loner girl an idea to form a club and gets pulled into it against his will. On top of that, Yozora and Kodaka are basically this decade's Kyon and Haruhi, though the supporting casts are completely different.
Essentially, "Haganai" is "Haruhi Suzumiya" without the supernatural elements. Hell, "Haruhi Suzumiya" is even referenced in "Haganai" so their similarities are likely not a coincidence.
