These shows has pretty similar art styles and are grade school dramas that are about self-discovery. The biggest difference is that Hourou Musuko is more about gender identity while Tsuki ga Kirei is all about romance built from the ground up.

The art styles featured in both works are similar and the storylines are small gems. Neither show is flashy but their presentations include realistic sexual and romantic problems that are touched on and adequately handled.

Both series have that shy ambientantion, with characters that doesnt show themselves that much, and making you wonder what are they thinking about and how they feel. A show to relax and enjoy a cute history very well told without cliches and fanservice.
