Two shows in very different genres/tones - but at their core both have a plot structured around a duo solving smaller problems (games/mysteries) within a larger game/mystery. The female leads are very analogous.

Genius. As well as the pairing necessary to overcome every force in their way said the duo also contains two genius girls who can pretty much do anything on a cognitive base, their intelligence is unearthly.
There's not a lot otherwise to say about these two anime, both are vastly different from one another with NGNL centring around games as opposed to Gosick's detective story. I guess both still need cognitive thought for it though. But NGNL happens to be more flamboyant than a down-to-earth, somewhat dark story of Gosick. Two sides of the same coin.
Both are pretty good anime if you like characters effortlessly passing
