Both of these titles are single-episode TV specials whose stories focus on folklore fantasy creatures coming to life/being released and a small group of people who must deal with the creature(s) before they threaten lives too much. Shoka is more of a historical piece with ink drawings coming to life, whereas Wasurenagumo takes place in modern times and has a creature that was sealed away getting loose from its sealed location. Even so, The story manages to be self-contained in a mere 24 minutes, and the visuals, while of different styles (boy are they more roughly stylized in Shoka, probably to fit with the theme
