Both are emotional and about the world of fashion. Kuragehime is more mature and cosy while Runway de Waratte is a shonen and has more suspense.
Overview: Kuragehime follows a young woman who lacks self-confidence, but has a strong passion for Jellyfish after a trip to the aquarium as a child. After a chance meeting with a beautiful (cross-dressing) model, she slowly learns to accept herself and begins expressing her passion of jellyfish by designing clothes.
Similarities: Both Kuragehime and Runway de Waratte have a strong emphasis on following your passion and use clothes as the medium. Each show explores the idea of what makes people unique and beautiful, and takes the viewer on a complex emotional journey after the characters are taken out of their comfort zones through a chance encounter.
