Comedic stories with a focus on music as the plot's vessel. The personalities of the characters in both animes are rather similar and the stories develop in a similar fashion. On one side, Bocchi the Rock has a somewhat more mature plot with a lesser focus on school life and a much bigger comedic impact, but both shows include many scenes bound to make anyone who enjoys music and specifically the whole aspects of live performances and a band's day-to-day lives feel really hyped.

it's the same genre, music, if you like k-on maybe you like bocchi, the comedy is so absurd, i think bocchi is more funny than k-on but for the story k-on is good! the characters development, plot, theme everything is great

Both animes feature concentration on SoL and music as well. Both have amazing humor and relateable characters.
