Summertime Render has the same small village type atmosphere that Shiki has. Odd things keep happening, quite literally, in the shadows. People get replaced with a superior version of themselves and the main protags need to fight off the intruders.
It's similar in the aspect that the reader has the awesome foresight to know what's happening already while the actual characters gradually put the pieces together as the chapters continue on

-The villagers is close with each other and knowing the family of protagonist.
-Revolved around similar incident that occur in the village and involved the folks
-Have novelist as one of the main supporting character.
-The main character in both anime want to do something to fix the problem.
Similar atmospheres in which a small village gets attacked in the shadows by mysterious creatures that are preying on the villagers.
Both take place in the middle of summer with people disappearing and dying under strange circumstances and the main characters trying to figure out what’s happening.
The atmosphere at the beginning of both of these anime are similarly eerie. They both involve the a mystery within a small town where everyone within the town is involved in the mystery in some way or another.
The two of them look very similar, the atmosphere is the same, and when I watch this anime I remember Shiki very much.
Vampires and Shadows act in a similar way in both anime, both trying to erradicate humans in a small town. Both creatures are hard to distinguish from humans till it's too late. Both are good thrillers too.

Both shows are set in a small town and you get all the close-knit small community vibes from both of these shows.
There is a darkness looming over the community and our heroes must stop it.
Both are technically set during summer, but Shiki moves into fall as the show comes to a close.
Supernatural creatures.
the premise of a supernatural group wanting to take over an entire town is similar also the soundtracks are very very similar
