•Both contain absolute tragedy and despair, in the most inhumane ways and show the mentality of the humans and how there brain reacts in certain situations about the "monster" beings, as to what will they do, fight back, research, destroy, stay away from them, keep close to others; the list goes on.
•Both are mysterious with their plot as they progress, and leave the viewer on edge, angst, frustration, envious, anger etc. Either way, it will leave the viewer wanting more.

Mixing elements of gore, horror and mystery, both are thrilling tales about humans rebelling against powerful foes that are destroying their, once peaceful, lives. They also feature characters obsessed with comprehending enemy's biological inner workings and performing experiments on them.
Both Shiki and Attack on Titan portray the creatures feeding on humans as evil but later on show that they have their own reasons to do things that they do and make us kinda understand the other side and that there's no such thing as pure evil
