They both have those parts where you can get all excited and say, "Is this IT!? Is this IT!?" You can really feel that heart warming moment when the characters accept each other as who they are. Definitely recommended.

The secret people. The Secret World of Arrietty and Wolf Children both follow protagonists who care for the secret abnormal beings they are associated with.
Wolf Children is Hana being a mother for the literal wolf children Ame and Yuki. Arrietty is Shou protecting Arietty and her family from the dangers of some humans.
Both are great anime about that even though there are differences in the different kinds of species that live, there can still be bonds built.
