Anime in which a narcissistic male protagonist is tasked (or self-appointed) with saving a society that is forgotten by the public. The female lead rarely shows her emotions, but is implied (or stated) that she has a crush on the male lead.
Both can be considered comedic series, but they take different approaches. Amagi Park is more like your everyday school anime, with mainly teenagers interacting with each other. Arakawa is a gag comedy, and surprisingly quite thought-provoking at times.

With comedic results a highly narcissistic protagonist sets out to save a dysfunction part of society filled with a wide variety of wacky and unusual residents. Arakawa differs being more comedy based with its consistent gags, while AmaBuri focuses more on the drama side of things, leading to less comedic moments.
looking for weird anime but very enjoyable and hilarious ? and the same vibe or even 2x than amagi brilliant park.
I'll recommend "Arakawa under the bridge". No need to go to gym to gain 6 abs, cuz this anime gives you 7 pack abs.
Both male protagonists seemingly enter into a "world" filled with weird and slightly supernatural characters and through the protagonists influence, the world around them begins to change
While Arakawa is more character driven, Amagami focuses more around a central plot
