The characters are really funny and seem to have nothing better to do with their lives than going around and interacting with the rest of the cast. There doesn't seem to be much of a plot in either and both put a heavy emphasis on comedy and dialogue.

Both series employs random humor, gags, and absurdity not to mention the fact that it's handled and produced by the same studio, Shaft.
In both series, there is a strange main female protagonist present who is involved with the other characters and setting.
In both series, there is no set story but rather based on more humorous dialogues and word plays. Additionally, both series have some supernatural phenomenal that is presented in an absurd and exaggerated way.
The humor type is similar.
