Both shows display humans in a good way: our wits, inventiveness, knowledge. Both Kaban-chan and kids from Survive cleverly solve similiar problems - sometimes about ropes and logs, sometimes about relationships, sometimes even technologies. Watching it can make you proud of humanity.
Both animes feature survival: very mild in Kemono Friends, more harsh in MWS.
Both show the value of friendship and cooperation.
