As soon as I started watching Mirai Nikki, I noticed a big similarity to Deadman Wonderland. In both series there's a strange girl that will do anything to protect the boy, both have everyone playing a life or death "game" where you either kill or be killed, the characters are very similar, and in both the main girl is yandere.

The atmospheres of both shows are extraordinarily similar, possessing a common darkness and near-constant suspense. Deadman Wonderland tends to be a bit flashier about the gore, but both are undeniably gory. Similar from the very first episode - main boys are very similar, main girls too - sweet&deadly, both contains some kind of survival game and are kinda bloody. Also, both aren't very good

In both, there's a strange girl that will do anything to protect the boy. It's also unknown why the girl wants to protect the main boy so much. Both have everyone participating in a survival game. Lots of kill or be killed situations. There's gore scenes in each. They both offer the same kind of suspense for the viewer.
Both are intense, bloody and engaging shows that center around survival. Shiro and Ganta's relationship is very similar to that of Yuno and Yukkitteru-- both female leads have the dominant personality, mixed with mystery and more to them than meets the eye. Similar art between the two. If you enjoyed one, you will enjoy the other, guaranteed.

Very similiar vibe, main characters are pretty much the same. I feel that Mirai Nikki is a combination of Higashi no Eden's cell phone game and Deadman Wonderland's theme and atmosphere.
- They are both involved in a game in which they risk their life.

Deadman Wonderland is a dark series where the protagonist is in very real danger and could die at any moment in a high-stakes 'game'. It's a lot more bloody than Mirai Nikki, though to me, they share similar themes and concepts.
A survival game, a mysterious girl helps him, both have very similar feelings.
Mirai Nikki has a similar feeling to Deadman Wonderland. Both involve a 14 year old boy in a survival game fighting for his life. I haven't watched the other recommendation yet, but it does resemble Deadman Wonderland A lot.
Both are a nightmare survival game, filled with blood and gore.
Both have the main character as a shy boy.
Both main characters have a girl that has strong emotions for the boy.
Both the girls are extremely strong and take anyone and anything that targets their crush, no exemptions or thoughts about right and wrong, if you touch their crush you'll be torn to pieces.
Both anime have sort of wimpy character who just gets thrown into a survival game. They both have a dark feel to it. They both have really impacting story with cool characters and fun animation.

Your average wimpy teenage boy, thrown into a game of life and death. Turning his life upside down. Accompanied by a psychotic girl that only cares for him. Yandere for short. With all this to stand by, both anime are precisely the same.

The two animes are a litte heavy and with a bit of gore action. (Spoil Alert) One of the main characters in either one of them is a girl with a disturbed split/bipolar personality. Another similarity is the fact that in either one of the plots, the characters have to forcely kill or fight each other.
Both series revolve around a forced "survival game" of sorts with prominent themes of trust and betrayal, and involve an inexperienced young boy and a mentally abnormal love interest that protects him. They also have a central theme about becoming strong through the destruction of innocence.
Both have frequent bloody violence, mild fanservice, a large cast of odd characters, and an overall "twisted" feel. However, Deadman Wonderland is more action-oriented and Mirai Nikki is more psychological.

When I first saw Deadman Wonderland, my first impression told me: Hey, I've seen something like this somewhere before.
Both animes are set in a 'futuristic' supernatural fantasy world, featuring a 'strong' female protaganist and 'weak' male protaganist who struggles to overcome the shock of sudden change in their life.
Personally, I prefer Mirai Nikki over Deadman Wonderland. Deadman Wonderland is too straightforward and shallow, it lacks the deep, thrilingl, filling plot/storyline and the strategies and the conspiracy that Mirai Nikki offers. Also in Mirai Nikki, the male protaganist's battle for his change in life is more evident.

To sum it up, Deadman Wonderland is a not-as-good version of Mirai Nikki.
both have gore and similar survival aspects. they also have two developing male leads which are covered by the more stronger yet unstable female counterparts
The male protagonists start off as whiny, nervous wrecks once they're thrown into life threatening situations and against impossible odds, but eventually grow some balls.

Both are hards. However it is hard to explain in English. I totally love both main girls.
I can fell the same sensation of reality and the same emocion when I see both.
Both main characters start out pretty weak and after a while get the hang of things as they move along in the twisted fate that was cast upon them.
Both are almost the same, a survival game of life and death. Even the characters are much alike. Overall if you are looking for an anime with thrill and excitement and bloody, I recommend to watch them both.

Same artstyle, the main characters are basically the same person, and very similar story. If you like one you'll like the other, because they're the same show, pretty much.
The gory wonderfully whacked out setting is a pure pleasure. Also the main heroins in both are complete yanderes
Deadman Wonderland is like Mirai Nikki but better. It's like Akira but better. It has the same dark and bloody aspect with twisted personalities and interesting back stories and an archetypally cute girl for a young boy who suddenly finds uexpected powers, but like gasai yuno, shiro is so much more than she seems.

One of the MCs is Yandere. The other MC starts out as a major "Beta" male but grows to become braver as blood, death and time passes by. These are two main things they have in common, but they both also have the "kill or be killed" kind of plot. Blood will be spilled, and if you're into that kinda thing, you will be into this.

Both are bloody anime and have similar characters (Yuuki - Ganta; Yuno - Shiro). The story of both anime talks about a group of people who have to kill each other. The relationships of YuukixYuno and GantaxShiro are similar.

I see so many recommendations for Mirai Nikki I dont have enough facepalms for it. I spend hours ( days even ) to search for something similar and the only thing I found was deadman wonderland. Dont believe other recommendations for the love of god ^^
Mirai Nikki is an excellent anime that has a storyline well-crafted and that makes you hate a character after you come to love them and then hate them again. At the end of the episode it leaves you wanting more, to see more and to know more. It has a little comedy bits, jokes here and there that really add to quality of the series but mostly is a psychological thriller that is rich in bloodshed and warped love story’s.
Both focus on gore-fests and shock values to amuse the viewers, and horror fanatics alike. The art style is similar too, and the main males have personality traits that are in common with each other. Both shows have a good survival feel to them, and characters that have mental issues. The only difference is Deadman Wonderland feels more unfinished than Mirai Nikki.

What I truly found similar with those two anime of confirmed distinguish topic is not only how the genres of blood, gore, dark, horror and devotion of hopes pops out from their veins to your eyes but how the interactions and reflections of the characters and the atmospheres of these anime links them together has pairs of pillars. The two main characters and protagonists of these series (Yukiteru and Ganta) have so much in common I would say they are the same. As well as for the support characters with almost same order or position in the scenario.
Main Characters start off weak and pretty hopeless. But they both start to build confidence further into the anime. Both have lots of murders with plenty of blood. Both MCs have a supporting female lead. And they both revolve around a twisted game where the MCs are forced to murder the other "contestants".

These two shows are similar in that they are quite dark shows, focusing on teenage characters as they are overcome with a similar issue (that means life or death for them) and follows them as they deal with the issues, with many sympathetic side-characters dying along the way.

Both anime have a male MC with a female MC who causes trouble for them, they also both possess dark themes and in both the male character lives a life he does not wish for.
The main character lives a peaceful life until the day when his life changes into a survival game.
Blood, horror, weak main character in the beginning, a strong and weird girl who love the main character, and a lot of madness !

(The anime adaptation of Deadman Wonderland was a springboard for the manga, so read the manga because is much better and the anime is not complete.)

Both series showcase an pretty introverted main character who is 'gifted' with amazing powers. Throughout the show, both main characters move from being a introverted young boy up to a thoughtful and aggressive contender in the 'arena' they are forced to fight in.

Another 'kill or be killed' title. Deadman Wonderland is also reliant on the aid of powers and the contestants in the killing game are also hand picked by some higher power (can't remember if that was actually revealed in the anime as well as the manga).
I guess Shiro could be classed as similar to Yuno as she follows around Ganta (MC) and appears to be cute and ditsy but has a whole other side to her. I see a lot of similarities between characters in both of these anime.

Mirai Nikki (The future diary) is similar to Deadman wonderland because they both have aspects of powers and a weird romance between the main charters.
Both of the main characters are weak but come through in the end.

The main heroines, Yuno and Shiro, are quite similar in terms of personality (both act/are usually innocent but can get pretty violent) and always try to protect their friend, Yukiteru and Ganta. Both animes share a dark theme, but Deadman Wonderland has a more eerie atmosphere. The main protagonists are very weak at the beginning but develop in the course of time.

It's like a mirror of each other. Not a mistake Deadman Wonderland is EXTREMELY identical with Mirai Nikki. The main character is a same insecure boy (and in this case have extremely identical personality as well) who got dragged into a 'game' of survival that he doesn't want to play. These two shows are similar in how Yuki and Ganta are both thrown into a death game they don't want to be in; along with some new found supernatural powers, with a strong female yandere that follows them. In my opinion the Branches of Sin is a cooler power than a Future Diary. This means that there are some cool action scenes in Deadman Wonderland due to the powers, but Mirai Nikki has a better psychological edge to it. Both are brilliant shows.

Weak male students? Crazy powerful female friend? Stupid situation becoming hell? Deadman Wonderland and Future Diary have yes as an answer to all those questions.
With Deadman Wonderland being about Ganta and Shiro in surviving prison. Future Diary is about Yukiteru and Yuno surviving a battle royale. Both use superordinary items/powers to aid them as so.
Both are good violent and gruesome anime about the weak changing in the face of constant danger.

The plot which drives these two anime goes on is pretty much the same thing; a "game" where the characters have to fight for each other to acquire something important to those characters.
Both main casts plays pretty much the same style. The FeMC are the ones who have the courage to play the "game", whereas the MC is pretty much useless, but improves over time
