The general theme and ideas promoted are very similar also.
Both anime are about finding your place and pushing foward.
The general feeling of both anime are similar.
Its pretty much everything I have to say. the supporting characters and settings are completely different but they still manage to share some similarities.
They're both pretty mature SoL.
