The characters in Odd Taxi city know each other somehow or another, with each episode feeling like something is building up between all the different groups
The witty dialogue and the way the story comes together is very similar.
Both stories have events happening that don't seem connected at first. By the end you'll realize everything shown was actually important and all connected.
Different perspectives lead to one big event which is related. Full of mystery that will be revealed once you see them in another point of view, great plot twist.
The character relations somehow remind me of Odd Taxi because of how the story is shown on different character perspectives. Durarara is an action while Odd Taxi is a mystery.

You're looking for an ensemble cast that tells interconnected stories about city life and the dark, criminal underbelly, in which it doesn't look like everything will be connected at first but then all of the separate stories come together to tell one cohesive one? Look no further

both have interesting mystery stories and whenever there is a problem, the problem is always connected with other characters.
The similarities:
-Very intriguing plot, will grab your attention right from the beginning
-All characters are connected irrespective of their importance to the story
-The execution
Some differences:
-Odd Taxi is dialogue-heavy, Durarara!! is not
-Durarara!! has got more action and supernatural elements compared to Odd Taxi, because the latter is a slice-of-life mystery

The narrative style is similar in these 2 animes. In Durarara!!, the narrative is focused on the events happening in Ikebukoro and it is shown through the perspective of the cast's POVs, in Odd Taxi something similar is taking place where some events seem to be happening in the town and it is all somehow connected to this taxi, and similar to Durarara!! we see these events through the POV of different characters. If you like Durarara!!, you will probably enjoy Odd Taxi.

Both shows have mysterious vibes and a relatively large cast of characters with seemingly disparate stories whose connections become clear over the course of the show.

Both feature a large cast with each character playing a very pivotal role to the plot. While both have main characters, the focus of the narrative often shifts from character to character, all building up to tell one incredibly layered story. Additionally, the shows both take place in large cities, yet everything is interconnected, embodying the phrase, “it’s a small world”.

odd taxi gives off the same vibes as durararara because at the start of both the series you are only given small pieces of the big mystery and around the end of the show you start to find out more about the big mystery.
