Durarara has the same atmosphere and is also story about a mysterious city. All the characters have some relationship between them. Both are fun to watch!
Izaya from Durarara and Art from Hamatora are both voiced by Kamiya Hiroshi. They both play a similar role in these series. Both series taking place in a city filled with interesting characters. They are all somehow linked to one another in a way. The truth behind each and every character is revealed.

Both have a theme crime in city, gives a familiar feeling that Durarara!! watchers will understand. The music and the atmosphere similar, also some seiyuus are common.

Both are action-packed and humorous, while maintaining an intelligent quality about them. They include characters with questionable ethics, and let the viewer decide what is right and wrong. They show both sides to arguments that are brought up.
Both anime also take place in big cities, and have similar emotional and visual aspects. The animation styles of the two are very different, however, and they aren't so similar that they become monotonous.
These shows feel similar in both storytelling and supernatural powers that are hidden from public...
Both shows have interesting cast of characters who have some trait/quirk to make them unique.

Both anime have a large cast of zany characters, an urban setting, superpowers and colorful art and animation. Plus, in both cases, there is a large-scale mystery that is slowly uncovered through each episode, layer by layer.

The setting is almost the same.
Both deal with fights or gang wars in the city.
Same voice actors. Similar relaxing and action music tracks.
