There is this common link between the two series which is hard to get into without getting into spoilers for 11eyes, yet in some ways the common link is one that is going to vary from person to person, as one person’s favorite character isn’t going to be the favorite character of another person. What I can say though regarding this common link is that I personally have felt a deep connection with the characters of both series, but found myself rooting for said characters. Yet, in this regard, both series are dark, so one should not go in expecting a happy ending.

Both are dark and gritty with great action. Certain personas in each anime will probably spark an interest in characters right off the bat.

-Story gets confusing at certain point.
-Involve time travels/alterations.
-Sweet in-love girl that end being yandere.

Both anime have...
-a crazy girl who is in love with the main protagonist
-a end of the world disaster theme
-few select people with powers
-a final sex scene (though is isn't shown, just suggested)
-a really hard to follow where it wont make sense
-both use alternative worlds as an excuse to tie up loose ends
-ability to predict the future
If I had to choose between the two i would say Mirai Nikki is better but if you like one you will enjoy the other
Both anime have a yandere trying to make the protagonist theirs doing whatever they can to make him theirs even if it means killing others and cheating life, and both have a supernatural horror type feeling to them.
