Both Hetalia and Azumanga Daioh have this sort of short episodic nature about them with each episode being cut into smaller episodes. It is a lot of fun but there are times where you will scratch your head as some of the jokes did not translate well to English if you are watching the dub. Still, sub or dub, both of these anime are pretty good.

While Azumanga is based off a four-panel yonkoma, Hetalia is based off very similarly styled webcomic. Both have the same slap-stick brand of comedy that make them enjoyable and easy to watch, with eccentric characters and a happy-go-lucky feel.
Both shows have strange yet funny humor. Of course Azumanga is a slice of life so its more settle while Hetalia is more jumpy and its more historic (at times)
